Balanced Community Presentation on Hydraulic Fracturing

Renowned Marcellus Shale Experts will give presentations for both Pro and Con viewpoints on Hydraulic Fracturing. Both speakers, Dr Anthony Ingraffia and Dr. Terry Engelder, have extensive, hands-on experience. Dr. Anthony Ingraffia did research and development in the gas industry for 25 years and helped to develop the hydraulic fracturing process. Dr. Ingraffia is the Dwight C. Baum Engineering Professor at Cornell. Dr. Terry Engelder has previously served on the staffs of the US Geological Survey, Texaco, and Columbia University, and has worked on exploration and production problems with companies including Saudi Aramco, Royal Dutch Shell, Total, Agip, and Petrobras. Dr. Engelder is currently a Professor of Geosciences at Penn State University. Each speaker will present information regarding the hydraulic fracturing process for 45 minutes, followed by a question and answer session. The presentation will be presided by former Steuben County Sherrif Joel Ordway.
